Eclipse Planning Services advised Crest Nicholson on the strategic promotion and multiple planning applications for a neighbourhood extension to the east of Red Lodge, Suffolk. The site raised a number of complex issues, most notably arising from the site’s location within the associated buffer zone of the Breckland Special Protection Area and the need to address the protection of Stone Curlews and recreational impacts arising from the new residential development.
Eclipse Planning Services project managed the entire planning process and led a specialist consultant team, providing practical and effective solutions to address the planning issues. We engaged with the community, West Suffolk Council and other stakeholders, including Natural England to secure planning permission for over 500 dwellings across two adjoining sites. We subsequently achieved consent for non-material amendments to the development and associated planning conditions.
