Mill Road, Cambridge
This site comprised a retail unit, workshop with ancillary office and Eclipse Planning Services were commissioned to seek consent for a residential redevelopment of 7 flats.
The site is centrally located in Cambridge within the Mill Road Conservation Area. It is a constrained urban site, requiring a sensitive design approach. We coordinated a technical team to address matters concerning heritage and noise impacts, traffic and parking, as well as flood risk and liaised with the City Council throughout, both prior to and following the formal submission of the planning application. Our successful planning strategy led to the approval of the development.
Eclipse Planning Services were subsequently approached by the new site owners to advise on the prospects for increasing the number of dwellings. We successfully secured a further permission to increase the number of flats to 9.
